Privacy notice

Last updated 25 August 2026

This notice is not finished. The headings below are the ones a UK retailer selling hardware to consumers has to answer, and each says plainly what belongs in it. No solicitor has reviewed it, so none of it should be relied on. Real prose will replace it before anything here can be bought.

Who we are

TODO-COPYStructure only. The wording below names what belongs here. It is not binding.

Placeholder. Names the data controller: trading name, registered company name and number, registered address, and the address to write to about your data. None of that is settled yet.

What we collect

TODO-COPYStructure only. The wording below names what belongs here. It is not binding.

Placeholder. Lists each category of personal data we would hold: what you type into the contact form, what an order requires (name, delivery address, billing address, email, telephone), and what a server records automatically. The contact form on this site does not submit anywhere, so today the honest answer is nothing.

Why we collect it, and the lawful basis

TODO-COPYStructure only. The wording below names what belongs here. It is not binding.

Placeholder. Pairs each category above with a purpose and a UK GDPR Article 6 lawful basis: performance of a contract for fulfilling an order, legal obligation for tax and accounting records, legitimate interests for answering a message, consent for anything optional.

Cookies and local storage

TODO-COPYStructure only. The wording below names what belongs here. It is not binding.

Placeholder, with one thing already true and worth stating: choosing the desktop or mobile view sets a cookie named lb_view and a matching entry in local storage, so that your choice survives a reload. It is set only when you ask for a view, it holds one word, and it is not used to identify you or shared with anyone. The finished section will list every cookie, its purpose and its lifetime, and will cover analytics if we ever add any.

Who else sees it

TODO-COPYStructure only. The wording below names what belongs here. It is not binding.

Placeholder. Names the processors an order would necessarily involve — a payment provider, a delivery carrier, an email host, an accountant — what each receives, and where they process it. None of these are chosen yet.

How long we keep it

TODO-COPYStructure only. The wording below names what belongs here. It is not binding.

Placeholder. Sets a retention period per category, with the statutory minimum for records that HMRC requires us to keep and a stated period for everything else, after which it is deleted.

Your rights

TODO-COPYStructure only. The wording below names what belongs here. It is not binding.

Placeholder. Explains your UK GDPR rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, how to exercise them, what proof of identity we would ask for, and the one-month response deadline we would work to.

Complaints

TODO-COPYStructure only. The wording below names what belongs here. It is not binding.

Placeholder. Explains how to complain to us first, and that you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office regardless, with its contact details.

Changes to this notice

TODO-COPYStructure only. The wording below names what belongs here. It is not binding.

Placeholder. States how a change is published, how the date at the top is maintained, and whether we would notify you directly.
